We visit a awarded Coffee farm in Valparaiso (1375msnm) where we learn about the coffee production processes, enjoy the hospitality of the locals and the spectacular scenery of the region. We continue our trip along the Cauca river and drive up the hills to the municipality of Jerico (2000msnm) known as “the Athens of the South-west”, considering the progress and the culture of his people; called also the "most beautiful town of Antioquia" for his topography, republican style and sceneries. We will know the artisan manufacture of the carriel, a distinctive garment of the gentlemen antioqueños, absolutely exclusive of the “paisa” regions
DAY 1 VALPARAISO
Transport from Medellín to Valparaíso in the Southwest of the Department. A 3 hour trip taking us through the mountainous landscapes of Southwest Antioquia along the Cauca River.
From the town Valparaíso we will arrive in 10 minutes at the coffee farm. Our guide will show us the coffee and cardamom cultivations, creeks and forest reserves of the farm.
The visitors will be able to learn about the coffee production.
Process from the tree to the cup, participating in each of the stages (harvesting, drying, threshing, toasting and miling). We make contact with the various domestic animals living on the farm la Elisa

DAY 2 MEDELLIN – VALPARAISO
In the morning citytour through Medellín and in the afternoon leave south to Valparaiso. After a aprox. 3 hour journey we arrive at our hotel in the village center. Before the conquest this lands were indigenous territory and inhabitat by the Caramanto tribe. Today we find here a cozy village constructed in a typical style Antioqueño

DAY 3 VALPARAISO
Transfer to the near indigenous community la Maria of the embera chami tribe. We enjoy a walk through the reserve, a dance ceremonie, a crafts workshop and a typical local lunch. After dinner in the hotel, we travel back to the indigenous reserve and may witness a night ceremonie of the embera chami. Duration aprox. 2 hours

The farm counts on a small herd of dairy cattle for the subsistence of his inhabitants. DAY 5 TAMESIS
Early in the morning we start to the trekking “The route of petroglifics” a route of archaeological and historical interest. It is a trip of average difficulty grade in which about 12 representative rocks are visited. The rock engravings show different occupational chronological periods. In the same trip readings of the scenery and certain interpretation of the motives are beeing realized. Furthermore you may visit the biggest citric cultivation of Colombia. We end our trekking with a refreshing bath in the river. Duration aprox. 7 hours
