NUQUI – CHOCO COLOMBIAN PACIFIC OCEAN “SURFING THE JUNGLE”

Nuqui is a small town within the tropicla rainforest, where its clear and warm water make it the perfect destination to rest and let nature mesmerize you.

Location: The ¨ECO-lodge¨ and the surf center are located South of Nuqui, approximately 35 minutes by boat, (latitude 5º 37'28¨; longitude 77º 25' 09.2¨), in front of the sea.
Climate: Warm humid, 28 degrees Celsius on average, the summer season is in January, February, March and mid-August, the rest of the year is the rainy season with heavy rains between October and early December .
Extension: 956 square kilometers.
Ecosystem: Coral Reef and Tropical Rain Forest.

There are several activities to choose from in Nuqui to help you enjoy your vacation.

Just a few steps from the ECO-lodge there´s the beach for surf beginners, with ideal safety conditions. It´s an excellent beach to learn and practice.

Big fish in abundand schools, and warm water give the perfect touch for a great dive in the Colombian Pacific ocean.

PROGRAM FOR SURFERS

El Cantil has its own surf instructors, knowing perfectly the local conditions and characteristics of each zone, for example point breaks, beach breaks and river mouths.
The first south american surf competition “Latin Pro Colombia” took place in Nuqui from 14th to 16th of november 2008 under the slogan “Surfing the jungle” .
