Afternoon at free disposal DAY 3 SANTA ELENA CULTURAL EXPERIENCE Medellin is known as the “city of eternal spring” and also as “the city of flowers”. The flower festival in Medellin is one of the most famous cultural events in the region. We offer you the opportunity to meet a traditional “silletero-families” on their farm in Santa Elena, located on the surrounding mountains of the city in East Antioquia. After a aprox. 3 hour journey we arrive at our coffee finca 10 minutes from the village. Before the conquest this lands were indigenous territory and inhabitat by the Caramanto tribe. Today we find here a cozy village constructed in a typical Antioqueño style. After a welcome drink we enjoy a guided Trip through the coffee and cardamomo cultivation, creeks and forest reserve of the farm. The farm counts on a small herd of dairy cattle for the subsistence of his inhabitants. Various products are obtained of the milk, among them the Antioquia cheese, that our visitors will be able to learn to prepare LUNCH: Fiambre Antioqueño - Cold meat Antioqueño (rice, ground meat, hard-boiled egg, sausage or pork crackling, mature banana) or lunch of fish (fried fish, sweet rice, patacón, salad, avocado) OBSEQUIOS:

Afternoon at your free disposal, enjoy walking through the colonial town and feel the flair of the Caribbean Breakfast included DAY 8 to 10 ROSARIO ISLANDS Early in the morning, you will leave to Isla Pavito a private island belonging to the Rosario National Park Archipel. This island provides absolut privace and a great view over the caribbean sea. The bamboo (guadua) building received an award for its architecture. Temperature rises while approaching the Cauca River valley and soon you arrive at your comfortable hotel. Their is time to explore the village. For dinner you enjoy a barbacue Breakfast, dinner at the hotel, lunch not included DAY 3 VALPARAISO In the morning journey to the Embera Chami indian of the nearby community La Maria. During a tour the local leader shows you local plants and herbs and their use in the community. Then you may witness a traditional dance and learn during a workshop Indian's art craft technics. The visit concludes with a traditional lunch In the afternoon visit of the Indian's museum Valparaiso village Dinner at the hotel In the evening you are going to visit once more to the Indian's community and will have the Privilieg to take part of a night ceremony with the Embera Indians. It is a trip of average difficulty grade in which about 12 representative rocks are visited. The rock engravings show different occupational chronological periods. In the same trip readings of the scenery and certain interpretation of the motives are beeing realized. Furthermore you may visit the biggest citric cultivation of Colombia. We end our trekking with a refreshing bath in the river. Duration aprox. 7 hours In the afternoon rest in the country house hotel Guacari, option of SPA (not included) and/or Sauna Breakfast and dinner in the country house hotel Guacari, lunch during the trekking DAY 6 TAMESIS – PINTADA – MEDELLIN Hotel check out and departure from the Finca hotel and heading towards the village Pintada (600m) on the river Cauca, from where you start to a 3-hour journey with the motorboat along the river. Enjoy the picturesque green scenery, the hills and the farmhouses. The journey concludes with a visit of the gold miners in Puente Iglesias. After lunch you travel back to Medellin Accomodation in Medellin Breakfast at the hotel, lunch not included DAY 7 FLIGHT TO BAHIA SOLANO/COLOMBIAN PACIFIC After breakfast transfer by car/bus to Medellin Olaya Herrera Domestic Airport (approx. 30 min.) Check in and flight to Bahia Solano, where our local partners or one of our tourguides is expecting you. Following Jeep transfer to the lodge. After arrival you receive a welcome juice and introductory information and are brought to the Cabañas (holiday huts). Afterwards lunch. Afternoon at free leisure. Enchant yourselve by the abundant nature and the extensive Pacific beach DAY 8 WHALE WATCHING Boat excursion and observation of humpback whales. At this time the babies are born. An event full of magic, its a privilege to be able to look at these giants from such a nearness DAY 9 NATURAL RESERVE EL ALMEJAL After the breakfast tour around the Lodge. You will learn about the seaturtle protection program and the organic garden. Afterwards walking to the natural reserve, following the stairs at 30 meters altitude you get to a seightseeing point with a astonishing view over the coastline. Then you step into the rain forest and receive interesting information about the ecology of the area. Then back to the Lodge and lunch. The afternoon is availabe to enjoy the sea or the rainforest as you please OPTIONAL: Climbing and abseiling (rappel) on gigantic trees DAY 10 CANOYING IN THE TUNDO RIVER 50 minutes walk to the shore of the river Valle where the canoes are mounted. Afterwards comfortable paddling upriver and deviating into the river Tundo Time to marvel the mangroves and at the rain forest. Toucans, parrots, butterflies and a big variety of orchids and bromelias may be observed. At the end of the journey time remains to take a refreshing bath in the clear river water DAY 11 CASCADA DEL TIGRE (TIGER WASSERFALL) 15 minutes boatride from the Lodge to an untouched beach with a waterfall and possibility to take a bath, the sporty can climb up the waterfall and find other bath places. When low tide it can be walked along the beach, and get access to an other waterfall and a spectacular cave with bats living inside DAY 12 UTRIA NATIONAL PARK After the breakfast 40 minutes boatride along the coast (beautiful scenerie of hills and tropical rainfores) to the national park Utria. Payment of the entrance fee in the National park head quarter and following information speech about the biology of the Park. Afterwards time to snorkel, take a bath and a walk on the shore. On the way back visit of a white sand beach of the National park OPTIONAL: Mask rental DAY 13 RETURN TO MEDELLIN AND FLIGHT BACK RÜCKKEHR NACH MEDELLIN UND RÜCKFLUG After the breakfast Jeep transfer to Bahia Solano Airport and following flight to Medellin Olaya Herrera Airport. Later City tour in Tabatinga (Brasil) and Leticia (Colombia) and visit of the border communities (Leticia borders to Peru and Brasil) Breakfast, dinner and accomodation in Leticia DAY 10 PUERTO NARIÑO You leave Leticia with the river boat (public river transport)and travel along the Amazon river until arriving in Puerto Nariño, the second city of the colombian amazon department. From there you continue your journey and visit the monkey island (isla de los micos) and drive in canoes along the Tucuchira lake Lunch In the afternoon you check in at the hotel of your choice in Puerto Nariño (Casa Selva or Aldea Yurupari, the last mentioned is located on the shore of the river Loretoyacu), afterwards the journey continous and you go wandering through the village and participate on a night excursion with animal observation and listening to the sounds of the rain forest..
