Ferox is the right Liveaboard for Malpelo island diving cruises. Proven capable, seaworthy, and extremely safe. Safety is the primary focus. Ferox is meeting or exceeding SOLAS requirements. Located 300 nautical miles from the coast Malpelo is a remote destination that requires an extremely seaworthy vessel. The Ferox is s former Ice Classed Swedish Mine Layer she has an 11mm armored steel hull, all new machinery and electronics as well as an extensive list of safety equipment including three 6m, self righting, former Fast Rescue Boats that were operated in the challenging conditions of the North Sea. The goal is simple, to offer our guests one of the safest live aboard dive boats in the world.

Twelve crew members will make you feel at home on this live aboard vessel that accommodates twelve passengers. Dine and lounge on the large shadow or sundeck. The meals are primary based on Colombian Cuisine like meat, fish, potatoes and rice, so do not expect international level meals. Appreciate the reduced noise level created by our thick hull. Rolling chocks on the hull make for a more comfortable ride. Sleep well in one of two master suites, four single or four twin cabins, each with individually controlled air conditioners. Find ample, private, semi private and shared bathrooms.

Diving operation is run by two professional Dive Guides on board. There are 2 diver groups with maximum 6 divers each diving on two zodiacs. Ferox offers exclusively Nitrox diving, which is perfect for the dives around Malpelo island.
